The Beatles Ashram, officially known as Chaurasi Kutia, is the historic ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi where the legendary English rock band, The Beatles, stayed in 1968 to learn Transcendental Meditation. The abandoned ashram features unique stone-dome meditation caves and colorful graffiti murals of the band. Nearby, Parmarth Niketan is Rishikesh's largest ashram, famous for its clean, spiritual atmosphere and beautiful gardens. Together, they offer a fascinating look into the convergence of Western music and Eastern spirituality.
