Chitkul is a dreamlike, remote village nestled on the banks of the Baspa River, famously known as the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, mustard fields, and apple orchards, the village features traditional wooden houses with slate roofs and a beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess Mathi. Travelers visit Chitkul to walk along the riverbed, taste food at the 'Hindustan ka Aakhri Dhaba' (India's Last Dhaba), and soak in the raw, serene beauty of this border paradise.
