Eravikulam National Park is a pristine wildlife sanctuary located 15 km from Munnar, famous as the home of the Nilgiri Tahr—an endangered, high-altitude mountain goat native to the Western Ghats. The park features lush green shola forests and rolling grasslands, with the majestic Anamudi Peak (South India's highest peak at 8,842 ft) standing tall in the background. The park is also famous for the Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every 12 years, turning the entire hillsides into a carpet of violet.
